Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Art Gallery Sales Assistant to join our team on a weekend roster. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about art and customer service to contribute to a dynamic gallery environment. You will be responsible for warmly greeting visitors, providing insights into our collection, assisting with sales, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role offers a competitive hourly wage supplemented by an attractive commission structure based on sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage warmly with gallery visitors, offering information about artworks and artists.
- Assist customers in selecting and purchasing artworks, providing knowledgeable recommendations.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Maintain the pristine appearance of the gallery, ensuring artworks are beautifully displayed.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide exceptional service to ensure a positive visitor experience.
- Actively work towards achieving sales targets and maximizing commission potential.
