Job Description
Are you passionate about sports and enjoy working with your hands? We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Athletic Equipment Repair Technician to join our team. This is an entry-level position where we will provide comprehensive training to equip you with the skills needed to repair and maintain a wide variety of athletic equipment. You will work in a dedicated workshop environment, playing a crucial role in ensuring our equipment is safe, functional, and ready for use. Key Responsibilities
- Learn and perform basic to intermediate repairs on various athletic equipment, including but not limited to, fitness machines, bicycles, and team sports gear.
- Inspect equipment for wear, damage, and safety hazards, identifying necessary repairs or replacements.
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
- Accurately document all repairs, parts used, and time spent on each task.
- Assist with inventory management of parts and supplies.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
- Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge through provided training and self-study.
Required Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in how things work.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new processes quickly.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation purposes.
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 lbs with assistance).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with hands-on hobbies (e.g., model building, automotive repair, carpentry).
- A general interest in sports and athletic equipment.
