Job Description
Are you passionate about bikes but lack professional experience? Gympie Bikes is offering an incredible opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to kickstart their career as a Bicycle Mechanic Trainee. No prior experience is required – we’re looking for someone with a strong desire to learn, a keen interest in bicycles, and a commitment to providing excellent service. You’ll receive comprehensive, hands-on training from our experienced mechanics, learning everything from basic repairs to advanced diagnostics and assembly. This is an on-site role where you’ll be an integral part of our workshop team, contributing to the smooth operation and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior mechanics with various repair and maintenance tasks on bicycles.
- Learn to diagnose common bicycle issues and identify necessary repairs.
- Perform basic services such as tire changes, brake adjustments, and gear tuning under supervision.
- Assemble new bicycles following manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
- Shadow experienced mechanics to observe and learn best practices.
- Provide friendly and helpful service to customers regarding their bike repair needs.
- Contribute to inventory management of parts and tools.
