Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and skilled BIM Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Stoke-on-Trent. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the effective implementation and management of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes across our projects. You will be responsible for ensuring BIM standards are adhered to, facilitating model coordination, and driving digital construction initiatives from concept to completion. This role is crucial for maintaining project efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration among various disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP) in line with company standards and client requirements.
  • Perform regular model coordination meetings and clash detection analysis using industry-standard software.
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of BIM models, verifying adherence to project information requirements and national/international BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650).
  • Manage and maintain Common Data Environments (CDE) for efficient information flow and collaboration.
  • Provide BIM technical support and training to project teams and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of BIM protocols and workflows.
  • Generate BIM data reports and visualizations to support project decision-making.
  • Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and clients to resolve BIM-related issues and ensure seamless integration of data.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a BIM Coordinator or similar role within the construction or AEC industry.
  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of BIM Level 2 principles and ISO 19650 standards.
  • Experience with Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms (e.g., BIM 360, Viewpoint for Projects).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • BIM-related certifications or professional qualifications.
  • Experience with other BIM tools like Solibri Model Checker, Synchro, or Dynamo.
  • Knowledge of scripting or programming for BIM automation.
  • Previous experience working on large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects.
