Job Description
Are you a natural entertainer with a knack for making people smile? Do you love engaging with a crowd and bringing energy to any room? VFW Post 1050 is seeking enthusiastic and personable individuals to join our team as a Bingo Hall Caller & Floor Staff. This isn’t just a job; it’s an opportunity to be at the heart of our popular bingo nights, ensuring every game is a memorable experience for our patrons. You’ll be the voice of the game, the friendly face on the floor, and a key part of our community’s entertainment. Key Responsibilities
- Clearly and enthusiastically call out bingo numbers using a microphone.
- Verify winning bingo cards accurately and promptly.
- Distribute and collect bingo cards, dabbers, and other game equipment.
- Engage with players, answer questions, and explain game rules in a friendly manner.
- Maintain a lively, positive, and fair playing environment.
- Handle cash transactions for card sales and prize payouts with accuracy.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of bingo equipment and seating arrangements.
- Roam the bingo hall floor to assist players and ensure smooth operations.
- Promote a fun and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and public speaking skills.
- Enthusiastic, outgoing, and engaging personality.
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math proficiency for transactions and verifications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift light equipment for extended periods.
- Reliability and availability for evening and weekend shifts.
- No prior bingo experience required; full training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in entertainment, public speaking, or customer-facing roles.
- Familiarity with bingo game rules and procedures.
- A passion for community engagement and creating enjoyable experiences.
