Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Bulk Stock Mover to join our team at Bunnings Warehouse in Byron Bay. This ongoing full-time position is critical to maintaining our extensive inventory and ensuring our sales floor is always well-stocked and organised. You will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and retrieval of large volumes of merchandise, contributing directly to a smooth retail operation and an excellent customer experience. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and check incoming bulk stock deliveries against manifests.
- Safely and efficiently move large and heavy items using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, trolleys, possibly forklifts if licensed).
- Organise and store bulk stock in designated warehouse and store locations.
- Replenish sales floor displays and shelves from bulk storage areas, ensuring products are accessible and presentable.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment within the warehouse and stockroom.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management processes.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg) and perform repetitive tasks.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for checking inventory and manifests.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling.
- Commitment to workplace safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or stock handling role.
- Current forklift license (LF or LO class) with demonstrated experience.
- Knowledge of large format retail operations.
