Job Description
Ventia is seeking motivated and reliable Cable Pulling Labourers for casual day shifts based out of our Wetherill Park operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team, providing essential support to our telecommunications and infrastructure projects. You will be instrumental in the safe and efficient installation of various types of cables, working alongside experienced technicians. This position is ideal for individuals looking for flexible work with consistent weekly pay in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the pulling, hauling, and laying of various types of cables (copper, fibre optic, electrical) in pits, trenches, conduits, and overhead.
- Support technicians and tradespersons with the installation and maintenance of telecommunications and utility infrastructure.
- Load and unload materials and equipment on-site.
- Perform general labouring duties, including site preparation and clean-up.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and site-specific procedures.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable and punctual work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Australian C Class Driver's Licence.
- Valid Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Previous experience in a labouring or construction role, particularly involving cable installation.
- First Aid Certificate.
