Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our dynamic Science department. The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject, committed to delivering high-quality education, and eager to inspire a love for Chemistry in our students across key stages. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (GCSE and A-Level).
- Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning and progress of all students in line with school policies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a stimulating and challenging Chemistry curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students, contributing to their overall well-being and development.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievement, and behaviour.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning.
Required Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
- A degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Chemistry.
- Proven ability to plan and deliver effective, engaging lessons.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching Chemistry at A-Level.
- A Master's degree in Chemistry or Education.
- Experience with various educational technologies and digital learning platforms.
- Experience in developing curriculum materials and resources.
