Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and professional City Hall Receptionist / Greeter to be the first point of contact for visitors and residents. This public-facing role is crucial for providing a welcoming atmosphere, accurate information, and efficient direction to various city services and departments. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all visitors, residents, and staff entering City Hall.
- Provide clear directions and guidance to various city departments, offices, and services.
- Answer general inquiries in person and via telephone, directing calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Manage visitor registration and ensure adherence to security protocols.
- Distribute informational brochures and materials as required.
- Maintain a tidy and professional reception area.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support smooth operations.
- Handle difficult situations with tact, patience, and professionalism.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced public environment.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., email, word processing, internet navigation).

Preferred Qualifications

- Bilingualism (English and French) is a significant asset.
