Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Plumber / Pipefitter to join our expert team in Portsmouth, UK. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, pipework, fittings, and fixtures in commercial and industrial environments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing and piping systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on existing systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing and pipework issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Work effectively as part of a team, coordinating with other trades and project managers.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience as a Commercial Plumber or Pipefitter.
- Proven ability to install, maintain, and repair complex commercial plumbing and piping systems.
- Strong understanding of relevant safety protocols and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to undertake further training and obtain UK-specific certifications as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing, Pipefitting, or equivalent vocational qualification.
- Experience with specific industrial piping systems (e.g., HVAC, steam, compressed air).
- Valid UK Driving License (or equivalent, with willingness to obtain UK license).
- CSCS card or similar site safety accreditation.
