Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalized care, including assistance with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with medication reminders and management.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
- Facilitate safe mobility and transfers, utilizing appropriate equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team to ensure coordinated care.
Required Skills
- Exceptional empathy and a genuine desire to help others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Willingness to undergo a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a caregiving role (personal or professional).
- Certification as a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) or equivalent.
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
