Job Description
We are seeking reliable and physically fit Construction Labourers to join our dynamic team on various projects in the Townsville region. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a valid White Card who are looking for consistent work with a high hourly rate. You will play a crucial role in supporting our construction teams, ensuring sites run smoothly and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist tradespeople and other site personnel with various tasks.
- Prepare and clean construction sites by removing debris and hazardous materials.
- Load and unload building materials, tools, and equipment.
- Dig trenches, shovel earth, and compact ground.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Erect and dismantle temporary structures, such as scaffolding and barricades.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Perform other general labouring duties as required.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian White Card (General Construction Induction Card) is mandatory.
- Demonstrated physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding tasks.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Basic understanding of construction site operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a construction labouring role.
- Possession of a current driver's license and reliable transport.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Experience with basic hand and power tools.
