Job Description
We are seeking a highly professional and organised Corporate Receptionist to be the welcoming face and voice of Spirax Sarco Engineering plc at our Cheltenham headquarters. This pivotal role involves managing our front desk operations, ensuring a smooth and impressive experience for all visitors, clients, and employees. You will be responsible for maintaining a professional and efficient reception area, handling incoming communications, and providing crucial administrative support to various departments. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all visitors, clients, and employees, directing them appropriately and announcing their arrival.
- Manage incoming calls, screening and forwarding them to the relevant departments or individuals.
- Maintain a tidy, organised, and professional reception area, ensuring it reflects our corporate standards.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, courier services, and package deliveries.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating meeting rooms, ensuring they are prepared and cleared as needed.
- Provide administrative support, including data entry, filing, scanning, and preparing documents as required.
- Issue visitor passes and ensure security protocols are followed.
- Order and manage office supplies for the reception area and general office use.
- Assist with various ad-hoc administrative tasks and projects to support the wider team.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
- Professional demeanour and appearance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and problem-solving approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Corporate Receptionist or in a similar front-of-house role.
- Familiarity with switchboard operations and multi-line phone systems.
- Experience with visitor management systems.
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications, including English and Maths.
