Job Description

We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Cotton Gin Sorters for the upcoming seasonal harvest. This temporary position offers high seasonal earnings, paid weekly, and provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to a vital part of the agricultural industry. As a Cotton Gin Sorter, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of the cotton ginning process by manually inspecting and sorting raw cotton. No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for individuals looking to gain experience in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manually inspect raw cotton for impurities, foreign objects, and defective fibers.
  • Remove unwanted materials such as sticks, leaves, and other debris from cotton.
  • Ensure the sorted cotton meets quality standards before processing.
  • Assist with the general operation and maintenance of ginning machinery as directed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dusty and noisy industrial environment.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20kg.
