Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable individual to join our team as a Distillery Barrel Mover. This critical role involves the safe and efficient movement, stacking, and organization of heavy spirit barrels within our warehouse facilities. You will be an essential part of ensuring our products are properly aged and ready for the next stage of production. This position requires significant physical strength, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually roll and move heavy spirit barrels (up to 500 lbs) using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Load and unload barrels from trucks and into storage racks.
- Stack and organize barrels in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Inspect barrels for leaks or damage and report any issues to supervisors.
- Assist with barrel maintenance tasks, including cleaning and preparation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the warehouse.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize workflow and achieve production targets.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as required.
Required Skills
- Exceptional physical strength and stamina, with the ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects repeatedly.
- Strong understanding and commitment to workplace safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or physically demanding role.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or similar manual handling equipment.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
