Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated E-commerce Data Specialist to join our dynamic team in Perth. This role is crucial for analyzing vast datasets to identify key sales trends, customer behaviors, and market opportunities across our digital platforms. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data, possess strong analytical skills, and be adept at translating complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions and optimize e-commerce performance. You will play a vital role in monitoring performance metrics, tracking campaign effectiveness, and contributing to strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to e-commerce sales, website traffic, customer demographics, and marketing campaigns.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular insights to stakeholders.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in e-commerce data to uncover opportunities for growth, conversion rate optimization, and improved customer experience.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives, product launches, and promotional activities.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and IT teams to implement data-driven strategies and measure their impact.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to provide competitive intelligence.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across various e-commerce platforms and analytical tools.
- Present findings and recommendations to non-technical audiences clearly and concisely.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, SQL).
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Shopify, Magento).
- Strong understanding of e-commerce KPIs and metrics.
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable business insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.

- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and optimization techniques.
