Job Description
Are you passionate about education technology and eager to kick-start your career in e-learning design? Rio Tinto is offering an exciting EdTech Placement for an E-learning Design Intern in Karratha. This unique opportunity will allow you to work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to the development of engaging and effective digital learning solutions for our diverse global workforce. You will gain hands-on experience with instructional design principles, multimedia content creation, and learning management systems, playing a vital role in shaping the future of learning within a world-class organization. Full training and mentorship will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the instructional design and development of e-learning modules, courses, and other digital learning materials.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content and translate complex information into clear, engaging learning experiences.
- Support the creation of multimedia assets, including graphics, animations, and interactive elements.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on e-learning content to ensure accuracy, functionality, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Assist with the administration and maintenance of our Learning Management System (LMS).
- Research and evaluate new EdTech tools and methodologies to enhance learning delivery.
- Contribute to project documentation and reporting.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program (e.g., Education, Instructional Design, Multimedia Design, Information Technology).
- Strong interest in e-learning, instructional design, and educational technology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic proficiency with presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint) and general office applications.
- Eagerness to learn new software and design principles.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with any authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Rise 360).
- Basic understanding of graphic design principles or multimedia editing software.
- Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS).
- Prior experience with project-based work or academic projects related to learning design.
