Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join the Tuscaloosa County Election Commission as a Seasonal Contract Election Office Clerk. This is an immediate hire position to support upcoming election cycles. You will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of election-related activities, ensuring accurate record-keeping and providing essential administrative support. This role requires a commitment to non-partisanship and strict adherence to election laws and procedures. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with voter registration processes, including data entry and verification.
- Prepare election materials, ballots, and supplies for polling places.
- Respond to voter inquiries in person, by phone, and via email with professionalism and accuracy.
- Organize and maintain election records and files.
- Perform general office duties such as filing, copying, and scanning.
- Support election day operations and post-election reconciliation as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all election laws and regulations.
