Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to kickstart your career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? Amazon Canada is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Edmonton team as Entry-Level Order Pickers. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive, paid training to ensure your success from day one! In this on-site role, you will be an essential part of our fulfillment operations, helping us prepare and ship orders to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick customer orders using handheld scanners and other equipment.
- Place items in designated containers or on conveyors.
- Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers (after certification provided by Amazon).
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures in the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand instructions in English.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items weighing up to 49 pounds regularly.
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols.
- Previous experience with handheld scanners or inventory systems (not required, training provided).
