Job Description
Atlantis Paradise Island is seeking an exceptional and visionary Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations. This is a unique opportunity for an internationally-minded culinary leader to make their mark in a world-renowned luxury resort. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene, and inspiring a large and diverse team of culinary professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all culinary operations, including menu development, food preparation, and kitchen management across multiple dining venues.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a large team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in line with international regulations.
- Manage kitchen budgets, inventory, and procurement, optimizing cost controls without compromising quality.
- Innovate and evolve menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends, while maintaining brand standards.
- Collaborate with F&B management to enhance guest dining experiences and operational efficiency.
- Oversee special events, banquets, and catering operations, ensuring seamless execution and culinary brilliance.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a high-volume, luxury hotel or resort setting.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Deep knowledge of various cooking techniques and international cuisines.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity and a passion for culinary innovation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification.
- Experience working in an international or multi-cultural kitchen environment.
- Fluency in additional languages beyond English.
- Familiarity with Caribbean or island-specific culinary traditions.
- Advanced food safety and hygiene certifications (e.g., HACCP).
