Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Executive Researcher to join our professional services team in Gympie. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing critical research and analytical support to our consulting and advisory practices. Your work will directly contribute to strategic client engagements by uncovering valuable market insights, identifying industry trends, and supporting executive search initiatives. This position requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth market research, industry analysis, and competitive intelligence gathering to support various client engagements and internal projects.
- Identify key industry trends, emerging technologies, and strategic insights relevant to our clients' sectors.
- Support consulting teams by providing timely and accurate data-driven insights and comprehensive reports.
- Prepare clear and concise research summaries, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and enhance internal research databases, knowledge management systems, and subscription resources.
- Assist in candidate identification, mapping, and preliminary profiling for executive search and talent acquisition projects.
- Collaborate closely with partners, directors, and consultants to understand research needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex information from various sources.
- Proven proficiency in diverse research methodologies, tools, and information retrieval techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting findings clearly and concisely.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for professional presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and inquisitive mindset, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Market Research, Finance, or a related analytical field.
- Prior experience (minimum 2 years) in a research-focused role within a professional services environment, such as consulting, executive search, market research agency, or financial services.
- Experience with advanced research databases, business intelligence tools, or industry-specific platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Gartner, IBISWorld).
- Understanding of the Australian business landscape and key industry sectors.
