Job Description

As a Fashion Design Intern, you will immerse yourself in the day-to-day operations of a bustling design studio, with a particular focus on pattern making and studio work. This is a fantastic opportunity for an entry-level individual eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our creative process. You will work closely with our experienced designers and pattern makers, gaining practical skills and insights into every stage of garment development, from concept to creation. Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting lead designers with research and mood board creation.
  • Supporting the pattern making team with drafting, cutting, and digitizing patterns.
  • Assisting in fabric and trim sourcing, cataloging, and organization.
  • Preparing samples for fittings and production.
  • Organizing and maintaining the design studio, ensuring a clean and efficient workspace.
  • Basic garment construction and sewing tasks as needed.
  • Documenting design processes and contributing to design presentations.

Required Skills

  • Foundational understanding of fashion design principles and garment construction.
  • Strong eagerness and willingness to learn new skills and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a fashion design, textiles, or related program.
