Job Description
GardaWorld is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Federal Buildings Security Administrator to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. This critical role involves managing and coordinating security operations within federal government buildings, ensuring compliance with strict federal regulations and protocols. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining secure environments, processing security clearances, managing access control systems, and providing administrative support to the security management team. A comprehensive background check is a mandatory requirement for this position due to the sensitive nature of the work. This is an on-site role, requiring daily presence at the federal building location.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain access control systems for federal buildings.
- Process and track security clearances for personnel and visitors, ensuring full compliance with federal guidelines.
- Coordinate with federal agencies and personnel on security matters and incident response.
- Prepare and maintain detailed security reports, logs, and documentation.
- Monitor security equipment and systems, reporting any malfunctions or breaches.
- Provide administrative support to the security management team, including scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security procedures and policies.
- Conduct regular security audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
- Respond to security inquiries and provide guidance on security protocols.
Required Skills
- Proven administrative experience, preferably in a security or government-related environment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Criminology, Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with access control software and security management systems.
- Knowledge of federal government security policies and procedures.
- Previous experience working in a regulated environment.
