Job Description
An entry-level opportunity to learn global trade and freight forwarding operations. As a Freight Forwarding Assistant, you will support our team with documentation, shipment tracking, and client communication, receiving comprehensive training to develop essential skills in the logistics industry. No prior experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and processing of shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs declarations.
- Coordinate with internal teams, carriers, and clients to track shipment status and provide updates.
- Perform accurate data entry into our logistics management systems.
- Communicate effectively with customers, answering inquiries and resolving basic issues.
- Support the freight forwarding team with various administrative tasks.
- Learn and adhere to all relevant customs regulations and international trade policies.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new processes and systems.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A keen interest in global trade, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Previous experience in an office administrative role is a plus, but not essential.
