Job Description
This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to kickstart a career in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). As a GIS Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in spatial data mapping, analysis, and management, contributing to real-world projects that impact the Central Queensland region. Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the collection, processing, and management of spatial data.
- Creating, updating, and maintaining GIS databases and maps.
- Performing basic spatial analysis under supervision.
- Supporting GIS team members with project tasks and data verification.
- Learning and applying GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) for various mapping needs.
- Documenting processes and methodologies used in spatial data projects.
