Job Description
Join our team as a Harvest Assistant and play a vital role in bringing fresh produce from our farms to consumers. This physically active role involves working outdoors in a team environment, contributing to the efficient and timely harvesting of various crops. We welcome applicants seeking 88-day visa sign-off. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for those new to the agricultural sector or looking for a seasonal work experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking, sorting, and packing fresh produce according to quality standards.
- Operating basic harvesting equipment safely and efficiently (with training).
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area in the field.
- Adhering to food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Working effectively as part of a team to meet daily harvest targets.
- Following instructions from supervisors regarding harvesting techniques and schedules.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical work, including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Current valid working visa for Australia (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in agriculture or outdoor manual labor is a bonus but not essential.
- Basic understanding of food safety principles.
- First Aid certification (advantageous).
