Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Hospital Food Tray Deliverer to join our Nutrition Services team. In this active role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of meal trays to patients in various hospital wards. This position is crucial for patient satisfaction and recovery, ensuring dietary needs are met with a friendly and respectful demeanor. You will be an integral part of the patient care experience, requiring good physical stamina and attention to detail. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport meal carts and deliver trays to patients in assigned wards according to established schedules.
- Verify patient identification and ensure correct meal trays are delivered, adhering to dietary restrictions.
- Assist patients with opening containers and preparing meals as needed, providing friendly and helpful service.
- Collect soiled trays and return meal carts to the kitchen area for cleaning.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, nurses, and other staff members regarding meal services.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, as well as hospital policies and procedures.
- Report any patient concerns or issues related to meal service to nursing staff promptly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the Nutrition Services department.
