Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Part-time Public Area Cleaner to join our dedicated team for night shifts at ibis Styles Port Hedland. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and pristine condition of all public areas within the hotel, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for our guests and staff. This position requires an individual with a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently overnight. Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, common bathrooms, elevators, and stairwells.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors to maintain cleanliness and shine.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, fixtures, furniture, and decorative items.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Clean and sanitise public restrooms, ensuring they are well-stocked and hygienic.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards observed during shifts.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of cleaning equipment and storage areas.
- Assist with other cleaning duties as required by management.
Required Skills
- Reliability and punctuality, particularly for night shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, lift moderate weights, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and products.

Preferred Qualifications
