Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Incident Response Coordinator to join our critical operations team in Redcliffe. This pivotal role involves leading the coordination efforts during transport-related incidents, ensuring swift and effective resolution to minimize downtime and impact. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the immediate response to transport incidents, including accidents, breakdowns, and operational disruptions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams, external emergency services, and relevant stakeholders during incidents.
- Develop and implement incident response plans and protocols to ensure preparedness.
- Monitor real-time operational data and alerts to identify potential incidents proactively.
- Document all incident details, actions taken, and outcomes accurately for post-incident analysis and reporting.
- Facilitate clear and timely communication across all affected departments and to senior management.
- Conduct post-incident reviews to identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and improve future response strategies.
- Train and educate staff on incident response procedures and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies during incident management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in operations coordination or incident management, preferably within the transport, logistics, or emergency services sectors.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising effectively with diverse groups under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a calm and decisive approach to critical situations.
- Proficiency in using incident management software and operational monitoring systems.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a high-performing team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Business Administration, Emergency Management, or a related field.
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS) or similar incident management frameworks.
- Knowledge of Queensland transport regulations and safety standards.
