Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Maintenance Technician specializing in Robotics to join our dynamic team in Osborne Park, Western Australia. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced robotic systems and associated automated machinery within our industrial environments. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure optimal operational efficiency and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on industrial robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB, Yaskawa) and other automated equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on robotic cells and integrated production lines.
- Execute repairs, adjustments, and calibrations of robotic components, including servo motors, controllers, end-effectors, and sensors.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to facilitate effective repairs and system modifications.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used accurately in the maintenance management system.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance operations.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians or production staff as required.
- Participate in the commissioning and de-commissioning of new or upgraded robotic systems.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of industrial robotics principles and operation.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience with PLC programming and diagnostics (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell).
- Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety protocols and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade qualification in Electrotechnology, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Certifications in specific robotic platforms (e.g., FANUC, KUKA programming/maintenance).
- Experience with vision systems and advanced automation technologies.
- Previous experience in a heavy industrial, mining, or manufacturing environment.
