Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Security Manager to join our team in Aurora, Illinois. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our information systems and data assets. The Information Security Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and controls. You will lead a dedicated team, manage security incidents, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement in our security posture. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of current cybersecurity threats and best practices. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Lead and mentor a team of security professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
• Oversee the management of security incidents, including investigation, response, and post-mortem analysis.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scanning, recommending and implementing remediation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Collaborate with IT operations, development teams, and business units to integrate security into all stages of the system development lifecycle.
• Manage security awareness training programs for all employees.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions to enhance our security capabilities.
• Prepare and present security reports and metrics to senior management.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
• Strong understanding of information security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
• Experience with risk management methodologies and security incident response.
• Proficiency in security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, endpoint protection, and firewalls.
• Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage projects and drive security initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH, or equivalent.
• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps security practices.
