Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Inventory Planning Manager to join our dynamic team in Winnipeg, MB. This critical role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing our inventory levels, ensuring product availability while minimizing carrying costs. The Inventory Planning Manager will develop and implement inventory strategies, forecast demand, and collaborate cross-functionally to support our global distribution network. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize inventory planning strategies to meet business objectives and customer demand.
  • Conduct comprehensive demand forecasting, inventory analysis, and reporting to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Manage inventory levels across various stages of the supply chain, from raw materials to finished goods.
  • Collaborate closely with production, sales, marketing, and logistics teams to ensure seamless product flow.
  • Monitor inventory performance, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead initiatives to improve inventory accuracy, reduce excess stock, and optimize working capital.
  • Utilize advanced inventory management systems and tools to enhance planning efficiency.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulations related to inventory management.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in inventory management or supply chain planning roles.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis and statistical forecasting.
  • Expertise in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and warehousing operations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., APICS CSCP, CPIM).
  • Experience with global supply chains and international logistics.
  • Familiarity with luxury apparel or consumer goods industry.
  • Project management experience in process improvement initiatives.
