Job Description
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic JavaScript Developer to join our dynamic engineering team in Leeds. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining cutting-edge web applications that power our customer-facing platforms. You’ll work within an agile environment, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and performant solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable front-end and back-end JavaScript applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.
- Debug and resolve technical issues across various environments.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement improvements.
- Contribute to the architectural design and technical roadmap of our applications.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+).
- Strong experience with a modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Solid understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Mocha, Jasmine).
- Understanding of front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel).
- Ability to write clear, well-documented, and testable code.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Node.js and related back-end frameworks (e.g., Express).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of GraphQL.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
