Job Description
This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for an aspiring Data Analyst to kick-start their career within Woolworths Group. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and transforming data from various sources using SQL and Python.
- Perform basic exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools.
- Support senior analysts in developing and implementing data models.
- Document data processes, definitions, and results clearly and concisely.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver relevant insights.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving sessions.
- Continuously learn and apply new data analysis techniques and tools.
Required Skills
- Foundational knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Basic understanding of Python for data analysis (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience/certifications).
- Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio).
- Understanding of basic statistical concepts.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
