Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Interior Stylist Intern to join our dynamic property styling team. This is an unparalleled opportunity for an aspiring stylist with a passion for interior design to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced real estate market. No prior professional experience in styling is required; we are looking for individuals with a strong willingness to learn, a keen eye for detail, and a creative spirit. You will work closely with our experienced Senior Stylists, contributing to the transformation of properties into stunning, market-ready homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Stylists with on-site property consultations, including measuring and planning layouts.
- Support the selection and sourcing of furniture, artwork, accessories, and soft furnishings.
- Participate in the staging and de-staging of properties, including physical setup and pack down of items.
- Help maintain inventory of styling items, ensuring they are well-organized and in excellent condition.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling, documentation, and coordination with suppliers.
- Research current interior design trends and collaborate on mood boards and styling concepts.
- Ensure all styling work meets Belle Property's high standards of quality and aesthetics.
Required Skills
- Genuine passion for interior design, home decor, and property presentation.
- Eagerness to learn and develop practical styling skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical capability to assist with lifting and moving furniture and decor items.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Interior Design, Decoration, Visual Merchandising, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of design principles, color theory, and spatial planning.
- A portfolio (even student projects or personal work) demonstrating a creative eye and design aesthetic.
- Familiarity with the Geelong and surrounding areas.
