Job Description

Home Instead Colchester is seeking empathetic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Live-in Companion Carers. This is an incredible opportunity to provide essential companionship and support to an elderly client in their own home, enjoying rent-free accommodation while receiving comprehensive, industry-leading training. No previous experience is required – just a caring heart and a willingness to learn. You will live with your client, providing continuous support, fostering a trusting relationship, and helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with the client.
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming (after full training).
  • Prepare nutritious meals and manage dietary requirements.
  • Undertake light housekeeping tasks, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living environment.
  • Administer medication prompts and management (as per care plan and training).
  • Accompany clients to appointments, social engagements, or for errands.
  • Monitor and report any changes in the client's health or well-being to the care manager.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the care team and family.
