Job Description

Bell Media is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Live Sports Camera Operators (Trainee) for weekend matches in Oshawa. This entry-level position is perfect for someone with little to no prior experience in camera operation, but a strong desire to learn and contribute to a fast-paced live production environment. You will receive comprehensive training and mentorship from experienced professionals, preparing you to capture the thrilling moments of live sports events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate broadcast cameras under the guidance of experienced directors and crew chiefs during live sports events.
  • Learn and apply camera framing, focus, and movement techniques to capture key plays and action.
  • Assist with the setup and dismantling of camera equipment and cabling.
  • Perform pre-event checks to ensure all equipment is fully functional.
  • Maintain a clear line of sight and optimal camera angles throughout events.
  • Adhere to broadcast schedules and production timelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with the wider production team to achieve seamless coverage.
  • Ensure the proper care and security of all assigned equipment.
