Job Description
Are you passionate about sports and eager to kick-start your career in live broadcasting? Bell Media is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Live Sports Camera Operators (Trainee) for weekend matches in Oshawa. This entry-level position is perfect for someone with little to no prior experience in camera operation, but a strong desire to learn and contribute to a fast-paced live production environment. You will receive comprehensive training and mentorship from experienced professionals, preparing you to capture the thrilling moments of live sports events.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate broadcast cameras under the guidance of experienced directors and crew chiefs during live sports events.
- Learn and apply camera framing, focus, and movement techniques to capture key plays and action.
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of camera equipment and cabling.
- Perform pre-event checks to ensure all equipment is fully functional.
- Maintain a clear line of sight and optimal camera angles throughout events.
- Adhere to broadcast schedules and production timelines.
- Collaborate effectively with the wider production team to achieve seamless coverage.
- Ensure the proper care and security of all assigned equipment.
