Job Description

Elders Rural Services in Truganina is offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Livestock Handler. This entry-level position requires no previous experience, as comprehensive, hands-on training will be provided to ensure you gain all the necessary skills and knowledge. You will play a crucial role in the daily care and movement of various livestock, contributing to the efficient operation of our facilities and upholding our commitment to animal welfare. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the safe and humane movement of livestock within the facility.
- Monitor animal health and report any signs of distress, injury, or illness to supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of pens, yards, and equipment.
- Prepare feed and water, and ensure animals have constant access.
- Assist with loading and unloading livestock for transport.
- Follow all established animal welfare guidelines and safety protocols.
- Operate basic machinery and equipment after receiving appropriate training.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
