Job Description
Are you seeking an entry-level opportunity to kickstart your career? Australia Post in Launceston is looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Casual Mailroom Assistants. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training to ensure you succeed. This role is perfect for someone who is organised, pays attention to detail, and enjoys working in a dynamic environment during day shifts. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of mail and parcels, contributing to the timely delivery of services to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail and parcels accurately.
- Operating mailroom equipment such as franking machines and sorters (training provided).
- Preparing mail for dispatch, including packing and labelling.
- Maintaining a clean and organised mailroom environment.
- Assisting with inventory management of mailroom supplies.
- Adhering to all safety and security protocols.
- Collaborating effectively with team members.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
