Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Billing Coding Trainee. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the healthcare administration field. You will receive comprehensive, on-the-job training in medical billing processes, coding principles, and administrative support within our office-based environment. No prior experience in medical billing or coding is required; we are looking for someone eager to learn and grow with us. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical claims and supporting the financial operations of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in all training sessions to learn medical billing and coding standards (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
  • Assist with data entry and accurate input of patient information and billing details into our system.
  • Learn to review and verify patient records for completeness and accuracy.
  • Support the team in preparing and submitting medical claims to insurance companies.
  • Handle basic inquiries related to billing and patient accounts under supervision.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  • Perform general administrative tasks as required to support the billing department.
