Job Description

Lone Star Growth Advisors is seeking an accomplished and strategic Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Director to join our growing team in New Braunfels, Texas. This pivotal role will lead the origination and execution of M&A transactions, working closely with clients to achieve their strategic objectives. The Director will be responsible for managing deal processes from inception to close, overseeing financial analysis, due diligence, negotiation, and integration planning. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all phases of M&A transactions, including deal sourcing, valuation, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and closing.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for strategic advisory services.
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed financial models, valuation analyses, information memoranda, and presentations for clients and potential investors.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and industry analysis to identify strategic acquisition targets or potential buyers.
  • Manage and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality work product.
  • Collaborate with legal, tax, and other advisors to navigate deal complexities and ensure compliance.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and client boards.
  • Contribute to the firm's business development efforts, including pitch preparation and client engagement.

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques (DCF, precedent transactions, comparable company analysis).
  • Strong understanding of M&A deal structures, legal documentation, and transaction processes.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strategic thinking with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from a top-tier institution.
  • CFA designation or equivalent professional certification.
  • Experience with specific industry sectors relevant to our client base (e.g., industrials, technology, healthcare).
  • Prior experience in an investment bank, private equity firm, or corporate development role.
  • Fluency in a second language relevant to international deal markets.
