Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Night Shift Bar Hand to join our casual roster at The Parap Tavern. This role is perfect for someone looking for flexible evening work, who enjoys a fast-paced environment and has a passion for delivering excellent customer service. As a Bar Hand, you will be crucial in ensuring our patrons have an enjoyable and smooth experience during their night out, assisting with drinks service, maintaining bar cleanliness, and supporting the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organised bar area, including glassware and equipment
- Restock fridges and shelves as needed throughout the shift
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the bar
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Adhere to all responsible service of alcohol (RSA) regulations
- Support fellow team members and collaborate to ensure smooth operations
Required Skills
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
- Basic understanding of bar operations and drink preparation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Reliability and punctuality for night shifts
- Customer-focused attitude with a friendly disposition
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bar or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of local beers, wines, and spirits
- Experience with POS systems
- First Aid certification
