Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Night Shift Driver to join our team in Tuggeranong on a part-time roster. This role is crucial for ensuring our products are delivered efficiently and safely during overnight hours. As a Night Shift Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods between our facilities and to customer locations, adhering to strict schedules and maintaining vehicle standards. While previous professional driving experience is a plus, we are primarily looking for individuals with a clean driving record, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Full training on our systems and delivery protocols will be provided to the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles (vans/light trucks) during night shifts.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring secure transit and accurate delivery.
- Follow pre-determined routes and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and vehicle inspection records.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Represent Woolworths Group professionally at all times.
- Ensure cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License (Car or Light Rigid).
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move packages.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of the Tuggeranong and wider Canberra area.
