Job Description
Blackwood Security Solutions is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Nightclub Wristband Checkers for weekend shifts. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in event security and hospitality, with no prior experience required. We provide full training to ensure you are confident and capable in your role. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring compliance with venue policies and maintaining a positive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately check customer IDs to verify age requirements for entry.
- Issue and verify wristbands to admitted patrons.
- Monitor entry points for unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, answering guest questions.
- Communicate effectively with security staff and management regarding any issues or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all venue policies and provincial regulations regarding alcohol service.
- Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor at all times.
- Assist with crowd management at entry points as needed.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols established by Blackwood Security Solutions and the venue.
Required Skills

- Reliability and punctuality for scheduled weekend shifts.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience (e.g., retail, food service) is a plus.
- First Aid and/or CPR certification (asset, but not required).
- Smart Serve certification (asset, but not required – can be obtained during training).
