Job Description

Golden Roast Snacks Co. is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals for an Entry Level Nut Roasting Facility Assistant position. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training! In this role, you will be an integral part of our production team, assisting with various stages of the nut roasting and packaging process. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable manufacturing experience in the food industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor roasting equipment under supervision, ensuring product quality and safety.
- Assist with the preparation of raw nuts for roasting, including loading and unloading materials.
- Monitor product flow and packaging lines, addressing minor issues as they arise.
- Perform quality checks on roasted nuts, including temperature and appearance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and boxing finished products.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a warm industrial environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
- Basic understanding of English for safety and communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production setting (food manufacturing a plus, but not required).
- Basic understanding of food safety principles (e.g., GMPs).
