Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Nutritionist to join our team in Murray Bridge. This role involves providing expert nutritional advice, creating personalized wellness plans, and educating customers on healthy eating habits and dietary supplements. You will be instrumental in helping our community achieve their health goals by offering tailored guidance and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one nutrition consultations with clients.
- Develop personalized meal plans and dietary recommendations based on client needs and goals.
- Educate customers on the benefits of various health, wellness products, and dietary supplements.
- Provide evidence-based advice on diet, lifestyle modifications, and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate client records and track progress towards health objectives.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff and other health professionals to offer holistic health solutions.
- Participate in community health events, workshops, and promotional activities.
- Stay updated on the latest nutritional research and health trends.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of nutritional science, human physiology, and dietary guidelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Proven ability to empathize, actively listen, and build rapport with diverse clients.
- Proficiency in creating tailored, practical, and sustainable nutrition plans.
- Knowledge of current health and wellness trends, including popular diets and supplements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Accreditation with a relevant professional body (e.g., Nutrition Society of Australia, Dietitians Australia).
- Previous experience (1+ years) in a retail health, clinic, or community health setting.
- Familiarity with various dietary approaches (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, keto, low FODMAP).
- Basic understanding of common pharmaceutical interactions with nutrients and supplements.
- Experience with health education or public speaking.
