Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Surgeon to join our esteemed medical team in Sheffield. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and providing surgical care for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of orthopedic surgical procedures including joint replacements, arthroscopy, and trauma surgery.
  • Diagnose and treat patients with musculoskeletal injuries, diseases, and deformities.
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative care, including follow-up appointments.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including anesthetists, nurses, and physical therapists.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, clinical audits, and continuous professional development.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and relevant clinical guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent)
  • Specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a license to practice in Orthopedic Surgery (or eligibility for specialist registration)
  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Orth) or equivalent international qualification
  • Proven experience in a broad range of orthopedic surgical techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sub-specialty interest in a specific area of orthopedics (e.g., spine, hand, foot & ankle)
  • Experience in a private healthcare setting
