Job Description
Join Australia Post as a Parcel Sorter for our crucial night shifts, contributing to the efficient flow of packages across our network. You will be responsible for accurately sorting parcels, ensuring they reach their correct destinations on time. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently sort parcels and packages by destination code and size.
- Load and unload mail and parcels from vehicles and sorting equipment.
- Operate sorting machinery and equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Report any damaged parcels or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sorting targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move parcels up to 25kg repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work consistent night shifts.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (not essential, full training provided).
- Experience with manual handling equipment.
- A valid driver's license.
