Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and highly organised Payroll Data Specialist to join our robust payroll team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing and maintenance of payroll-related data for a large employee base. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will ensure our employees are paid correctly and on time, in compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process and input high volumes of payroll data, including new hires, terminations, changes to salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Conduct regular data audits and reconciliation to ensure payroll accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll reports for management and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industrial awards, agreements, legislation, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to resolve payroll data-related queries and issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all payroll information and employee records.
  • Support the implementation and testing of payroll system upgrades or enhancements.

Required Skills

  • Proven strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing.
  • Demonstrated experience with payroll software and large-scale HRIS systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with various internal teams.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to data integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, or similar enterprise payroll systems.
  • Experience in a large corporate or retail environment.
  • Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and awards.
