Job Description

We are seeking a highly meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Data Specialist to join our dynamic team in Fremantle. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll data for thousands of employees across our extensive national network. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of payroll information, adhering to strict compliance standards, and contributing to the smooth operation of our financial services. Key Responsibilities

  • Process and verify payroll data, including new hires, terminations, changes in compensation, benefits, and deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and internal payroll policies and regulations.
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly and accurately.
  • Generate and distribute various payroll reports for internal stakeholders and external audits.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee and payroll information.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end payroll closing activities.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless data flow and process improvements.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and related matters in a professional and timely manner.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll data processing or a related financial role.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
  • Experience with large-scale payroll software (e.g., SAP, Workday, Oracle HCM).
  • Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certification in payroll, accounting, or human resources.
  • Experience working in a large corporate or financial services environment.
  • A degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
